Cacl2 dihydrate

CaCl2 in 2H2O is an important salt that is widely used as a phase change material (PCM) in the industry. It has a serious supercooling effect during freezing, which limits its practical use.

In this article, a new method to prepare salt hydrate PCM based on CaCl2*2H2O and reduce its supercooling degree is described. XRD results show that all prepared samples have similar peak positions to standard CaCl2*6H2O, which suggests that the prepared salt hydrate PCM follows the phase-transition mechanism of CaCl2*6H2O.

The Weifang JS calcium chloride is an ionic combination of calcium and chlorine. It is very soluble in water and is delectable. It is a salt that is solid at ambient temperature, and it behaves as a conventional ionic halide. Brin is used in refrigeration units, as ice and dust management on roadways, and as an ingredient in cement, to name a few of its many popular applications. It can be made directly from limestone, but substantial volumes are also created as a by-product of the Solvay process. Because it attracts and retains moisture easily, it must be stored in airtight containers at all times.

Solubility

Known as the calcium chloride salt of calcium metal, cacl2 (H2O) manufactured by Weifang JS is a white crystalline solid at room temperature and highly soluble in water. It's often used in ice and dust control on roads, as brine for refrigeration plants, and in cement.

When it dissolves in water, the ions form new chemical bonds with each other and with the water molecules. As this happens, the ions dissipate and liberate energy in the form of heat.

In this process, the ion's bond length and its ionic strength determine its solubility in water. Compared to alkali chlorides, CaCl2 is more water-soluble because it has a larger bond length and higher ionic strength.

This is because an ionic compound dissolves in water better than a covalent compound because "like dissolves like." The ion's bond length and strength also determine the size of the chlorine anion.
