Cationic polyacrylamide flocculant

Weifang JS polyacrylamide (PAM) is a common flocculant used in water treatment. The flocculation properties of polyacrylamide (PAM) can often be enhanced by adding other cationic chemicals to it, particularly trivalent metal salts.

Using PAM can significantly improve the removal of total organic content (TOC) from water. To achieve good flocculation performance, however, PAM must be used in the correct dosage and concentration.

Types

A type of water treatment chemical from Weifang JS is the polyacrylamide flocculant. Because it increases viscosity, promotes flocculation, and reduces suspended particles, it is a popular choice for wastewater treatment.

There are many flocculants available. They vary in molecular weight and charge densities. This is an important factor to consider when selecting a flocculant for a particular application.

PAM with a high molecular weight is used to treat water and wastewater, as well as to condition soil and recover oil. It is susceptible to various chemical and biological processes.

This study examined the effect of time on flocculation properties for solutions made from high molecular-weight polyacrylamides. A Couette mixing device was used for continuous flocculation. The settling rate measurements were done in a cylindrical format.
